Gambling revenue in Nevada reached an all-time high of $15.52 billion (£12.37 billion/€14.46 billion) in 2023, surpassing the previous annual record by 4.6%.

The 2023 total was well above the existing Nevada record of $14.84 billion set in 2022.

Last year, land-based slots were the main source of revenue. The $10.28 billion generated in 2023 was 2.8% higher than the previous year. About $5.97 billion of all slot revenue came from multi-denomination games, while penny slots brought in $3.15 billion.

Baccarat sales will be almost $1.50 billion in 2023

Elsewhere, revenue from table, counter and card games, which includes sports betting, was $5.24 billion. That was 8.5% more than the $4.83 billion in 2022.

Baccarat was responsible for $1.49 billion in table, counter and card game sales in Nevada in 2023. That was 28.2% more than in the previous year.

Another $1.33 billion came from the blackjack business, up 0.8%, while craps revenue increased 4.6% to $467.5 million and roulette revenue increased 1.8% % rose to $460.3 million.

Mobile sports betting sales in Nevada reached 240.7 million euros

When it comes to sports betting, sports betting revenue in 2023 was $481.3 million.

Of that, about $157.9 million came from football betting, basketball generated $133.5 million and baseball generated $93.2 million. Hockey betting revenue totaled $19.0 million, parlay card revenue totaled $8.5 million and other betting revenue totaled $69.3 million.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board also found that $240.7 million of all sports pool revenue came from mobile betting.

December sales reached $1.43 billion

In the final month of the year, December revenue was $1.43 billion. That was 9.0% more than in December 2022 and 4.4% more than in November 2023.

Slot revenue increased 6.9% to $858.0 million, with multi-denomination slots leading the way at $559.6 million.

Sales of table, counter and card games rose 12.5% ​​to $574.6 million. Baccarat grossed $221.6 million, blackjack $113.4 million and craps $46.7 million.

Sports pool revenue was $59.1 million, an increase of 7.0%. Football betting generated the highest revenue share here at $37.3 million per month.
